Speaking during a public engagement, Murkomen claimed that Gachagua's recent political activities and statements are intended to make residents believe they are under political siege.
According to the Interior CS, such narratives risk increasing anxiety among the public and could undermine efforts to promote peace and national unity.
"Gachagua is on a mission to create an atmosphere of fear and siege in the Mt Kenya region," Murkomen said, urging leaders to embrace issue-based politics instead of divisive rhetoric.
Despite the court decision, the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader has remained active, declaring that his immediate priority is to unite the opposition behind a single presidential candidate to face President William Ruto in the 2027 election.
Murkomen maintained that the government remains committed to protecting every Kenyan regardless of their political affiliation.
He called on leaders to avoid statements that could heighten political temperatures as campaigns begin to take shape across the country.
Gachagua has, on several occasions, accused the government of targeting his supporters and frustrating opposition activities.
His allies have also continued to criticize the Kenya Kwanza administration over governance and political freedoms, claims that government leaders have repeatedly dismissed.
With political alliances shifting and fresh court rulings influencing the national conversation, exchanges between senior leaders are becoming more frequent.
As Kenya moves closer to the next election cycle, observers expect debates over governance, security, and regional politics to remain at the center of public discussion, with both government and opposition figures seeking to strengthen support across the country.
