Gachagua Proposes 'Hyena Coalition' to Unite Anti-Ruto Camp Ahead of 2027 Polls

Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has proposed the formation of a new political alliance, which he says should bring together all groups supporting the campaign to unseat President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.

Speaking at his Mathira home in Nyeri County on Wednesday while hosting a delegation from Nakuru County, Gachagua suggested that the alliance be named the "Hyena Coalition." 

He said the name was inspired by recent remarks made by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale that sparked political controversy.

According to Gachagua, leaders and supporters backing the one-term campaign should embrace the label and use it as a symbol of unity rather than division.
