“You’ve Obeyed” — Kaluma Mocks Orengo, Sifuna and Babu Over Kabunde Airstrip

Homa Bay Town has witnessed heightened political activity as leaders allied to the opposition continue to mobilise residents ahead of the Linda Mwananchi rally.

Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has taken a swipe at Siaya Governor James Orengo, Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and former Embakasi East MP Babu Owino over their activities in the region.

In a post shared on social media on Sunday, August 16, Kaluma claimed he had previously warned the leaders against using Kabunde Airstrip, which he said was built by President William Ruto.

“I told you not to use Kabunde Airstrip built by President Ruto as you sing your useless Wantam slogans – you’ve obeyed,” Kaluma stated.

The MP also claimed he had warned the leaders against using roads that had allegedly been constructed or improved under the Ruto administration.

“I also told you not to use our beautiful roads done for us by President Ruto – so far so good,” he added.

Kaluma's remarks come amid heightened political activity in Homa Bay, where opposition leaders have been holding rallies as they push their political message ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The Wantam slogan, which has gained traction among sections of opposition supporters, has been used to criticise the current administration and call for political change.

In a further sarcastic remark directed at Orengo, Kaluma told his followers to bring the Siaya governor to him, claiming that he needed water.

“Now bring Orengo to me – he needs water,” Kaluma wrote.
